Mortal Combat X Review: Kill Them All
Mortal Kombat X is the tenth part of the famous fighting game, which uses the technology of the new generation, and combines dynamic gameplay and cinematic image. Download Mortal Combat X and meet your favorite characters from the past in new and updated versions.
Graphics – 4/5
The graphics in the game are amazing, making some scenes look incredibly realistic. The fighters, their movements, levels, techniques, and fatalities look amazing. The sound is great as well. However, as for graphics and physics, there is one nuance. Excellent picture quality can be enjoyed only on powerful devices with a good graphics processor, otherwise, only the fighters will be more or less traced, while everything else will look like one faint spot.
Gameplay – 3.5/5
Mortal Kombat X is a new part of the popular series of fighting games from Judge NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive. The events in the game begin immediately after the previous part and cover the next 25 years in the universe.
The plot of the game tells about the bloody and cruel tournament, which determines the fate of all mankind. Selecting one of the presented fighters, the players take part in one-on-one battles or team battles with the opponents with unique abilities. In addition to many well-known characters such as Scorpio, Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, and others, new heroes have been added to Mortal Kombat X that have not previously been present in any other part of this fighting game.
It would have been good if developers could come up with a complex plot and relate the game to a new generation, telling at least a bit about each newcomer. Even a few replicas would have been enough to shed light on their origin.
Controls – 4/5
Mortal Combat X has a very convenient control system. It is still a surprisingly comfortable fighting game. All combos and special moves are no longer than three buttons, movements are only in four directions.
Beginners at first can even use all buttons at once as it often works here. At the same time, for the regulars of network leagues, there is a mass of subtleties and additional measurements for the same special moves.
Replay Value – 4.5/5
Even though those who remember Mortal Combat from the past won’t be completely satisfied with the new game, it is still an enjoyable entertainment worth playing.
Events in the game unfold 25 years after the previous game. You will immediately notice that some of the classic heroes of the series have noticeably aged and began to seem wiser. However, this does not prevent them from briskly jumping around the arena and breaking the bones of their enemies.
According to Mortal Kombat X review, the game has several depth levels, and that’s what makes it so good. Bloody courage and a silly plot are a visiting card of the series. This is a fighting game for players of any level and almost any age. Mortal Kombat is not as shocking and defiant as it was before. However, it is still a perfect entertainment for a company of friends.
