PvZ: Garden Warfare 2 Review
The war between plants and zombies gets uglier with Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2. Indulge in an aggressive yet humorous third-person shooter gamer developed by PopCap Games and released by Electronic Arts (EA).
Graphics – 4.5/5
The developers have created stunning visuals depicting zillions of colors. The graphics have been designed while keeping the game theme in consideration. As the game inculcates humor and animated characters, the visuals depict craziness in the mannerisms and cuteness of the characters.
While releasing attacks on the enemy, you can feel the intensity of the attacks in the visuals. Further, the soundtrack also revs up the engagement and complements the activities in the game.
Gameplay — 4.5/5
The gameplay is similar to the previous edition of Plants vs Zombies. But this time, there are certain alterations to improve the gameplay. For example, there has been an addition of 8 different classes, including Graveyard Ops and Herbal Assault. The music is the same but it has been remixed to impart a rejuvenated feel. Further, you can play as the solo player in all the modes.
In the first part, plants lost the battle to the zombies. The zombies, led by Dr. Zomboss, has captured the territory of Suburbia and renamed it Zomburbia. Now in the second edition, the plants, led by Crazy Dave, have waged a war against Zombies to reclaim their lost territory.
There are twelve maps, forty characters, and fifteen game modes in Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2. The players can customize the characters in the Customization Room. The objectives for the players, either playing from zombie’s side or plant’s side, are displayed on the Quest board. As you proceed in the game, you will gain rewards for extraordinary performances and achievements.
Controls — 4/5
When it comes to controls, you would not experience any difficulty while launching attacks or defending your army. The intuitiveness of the game is commendable. If you played the previous version of the game, you will not face any difficulty while traversing through the menus. But if you are new to Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2, the navigation structure may confuse you. But after some time, you will be able to control it with ease.
